Mr. Mopps’ is a specialty toy shop, which sounds snobby, but it isn’t. It just means that we mostly carry toys that aren’t on the mass market. We don’t really do many TV or movie licensed products and we are pretty low-tech for the most part. We tend to focus not on toys that are “hot”, but on toys that are really, really cool.
We believe in offering toys that provide open-ended play and inspire imagination and fun for all ages of kids, from newborns on up. And even grown-ups often find something interesting at Mr. Mopps’!
Since 1962, Mr. Mopps’ has been serving the needs of Bay Area families, winning countless accolades, and been a destination for generations of locals. We are one of the largest independents in the East Bay, with thousands of items, and our mission is to get the right toys in to the hands of the right people.
